Angelos Angalianos

Angelos Agalianos holds a PhD in the Sociology of Education and the Politics of Educational Change from the University of London Institute of Education. Between 1998 and 2006, he worked in the Directorate-General for Research of the European Commission, where he was scientific officer for European research policy in the social sciences and monitored education-related European research projects. Since 2006, Angelos works in the European Commission's Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture. Between 2006 and 2015, he worked mainly on inequalities and social justice in education policy. Between 2016 and 2020 he worked for the Jean Monnet Activities, promoting the need to teach about the European Union in all levels of education. Since 2020, he works in the Culture Policy Unit of the same Directorate-General, so far primarily on the links between culture, democracy and social cohesion, and on the wider benefits of culture.

I love to draw and create something with my own hands, I also like to try something new, experiment, create beautiful works from different materials, travel and develop myself.

Tem experiência em projetos de intervenção artística e comunitária na cidade do Porto, onde cruza os campos da sociologia e do cinema, através do recurso à etnografia e às metodologias visuais participativas. Entre os projetos onde participou destacam-se a "Travessia" (2021), o "Clube de Cinema de de Campanhã" (2021-2023); o "Rising Cinema" (2023) e o "Cinema Insuflável" (2021-2023). Among the projects in which she has participated are "Travessia" (2021), "Campanhã Cinema Club" (2021-2023); "Rising Cinema" (2023) and "Inflatable Cinema" (2021-2023). She is currently on a PhD scholarship for the "PERYCREATIVITY: Peripheral Creativities: youth, arts and public policies in segregated territories" project, coordinated by Otávio Raposo (CIES-ISCTE) and Lígia Ferro (IS-UP), where she will have the opportunity to deepen her research in the areas of territory, youth and creativity, migration and colonialism, ethnography and processes of co-participation.

Carlota Quintão é socióloga, licenciada pela Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto e pós graduada em Políticas Sociais: as novas áreas do social, pela Faculdade de Economia da Universidade de Coimbra. É investigadora e membro do Instituto de Sociologia da Universidade do Porto. É formadora certificada e especializada em Igualdade de Género pela Faculdade de Psicologia e de Ciências da Educação da Universidade do Porto. É membro fundador e dirigente da Associação A3S, uma Organização Não Governamental para o Desenvolvimento dedicada à I&D, constituída em 2006. Tem uma experiência profissional de mais de 25 anos como investigadora,consultora, avaliadora e formadora. O seu percurso é de especialização nas áreas da luta contra a pobreza, do empreendedorismo social, da qualificação das organizações da economia social e solidária e da inserção profissional de públicos vulneráveis. Desde 2014 que desenvolve processos de investigação- -ação no acompanhamento de projetos de inclusão social através das práticas artísticas.

Catherine is Head of Learning and Engagement at Young V&A, a new museum of design and creativity for children and young people which opened in July 2023, and interim Head of Learning for V&A East - a new museum and public collection store - which opens in 2025. In addition to work at the V&A, Catherine’s career has focused on creative learning and education for young people in cultural spaces including Somerset House and the Design Museum. Catherine has degrees from Cambridge and UCL’s Institute of Education. Catherine is a trustee for CCSkills, and an advisor to LDE UTC.

Jade Aura Nunes é uma artista plástica natural da Amadora. Formou-se em Produção Artística Têxtil na Escola Artística António Arroio, passando de seguida por um ano em Design de Moda até se assentar na ESAD.CR onde atualmente se está a licenciar em Artes Plásticas. A artista é também membro da comunidade ballroom, pertencendo à Kiki House of Vera Wang. As suas práticas artísticas abrangem desde o Desenho e Pintura à instalação videográfica e sonora, com ênfase em dinâmicas performativas que questionam e subvertem a noção de trauma e o seu impacto em corpos dissidentes como o seu, procurando continuamente a expansão do seu território de intervenção artística.

I am a Sociology student at the University of Science and Technology with a deep passion for the field. Alongside my academic pursuits, I lead a research-focused student social science club, and as part of it, I host podcasts that delve into sociological topics. My academic interests center around the intersections of culture, gender, and the social impact of emerging technologies. Additionally, I had the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus+ BIP summer school: International and UNESCO related Perspectives of Aesthetic, Arts and Cultural Education. I also completed a certified course in qualitative data analysis (netnography) organized by Jagiellonian University. I have a deep love for museums featuring contemporary art, and I enjoy creating art myself. I am passionate about activities like ceramics, altering clothing, and restoring furniture.

I'm Katarina, a 22-year-old student from Slovenia. I study special needs education as I strongly support the inclusion of people with disabilities in society. During my studies, I volunteer in sports exercises for children with special needs, focusing on children with autism and Down syndrome. I have sung since I was a child, and music accompanies me to this day. On weekends, I sing in a band, mostly at weddings. Music has always been my passion, as it allows me to express my emotions and calms me down.

Desde voguing , até ao Funana que dança nas festas de família, ela encontra um lugar central na construção de uma pessoa simultaneamente transfeminina e Cabo-Verdiana. É onde tudo se encontra. Dança é ritual de celebração do passado do presente e do futuro. É Ancestralidade, uma forma de ressuscitar e celebrar as que vieram antes de nós.

Initiated and led the national programme “Creative partnerships” in Lithuania, based on internationally-acknowledged programme of the same title. Milda is a co-founder and the leader of the asociation “Kūrybinės jungtys” (“Creative Connections”) - community of creative professionals working in educational settings. Initiates long-term programmes such as “The Art of Curiosity”, based on partnerships of creative professionals with schools, cultural organisations and local communities. Recently with her team designed a Creative Organization Map - a diagnostic tool to foster relevance, learning, openness of cultural organisations.

Otávio Raposo é pesquisador do Centro de Investigação e Estudos de Sociologia e professor auxiliar convidado do Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE-IUL), onde concluiu o doutoramento em Antropologia. Paulo Pires do Vale is the Commissioner of the National Plan for the Arts. He is an essayist and curator. He was the President of the International Association of Art Critics – Portugal.
He was a professor at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa and at the Escola Superior de Educadores de Infância Maria Ulrich. He has contributed to many magazines, books, and exhibition catalogues, and curated many exhibitions at different institutions throughout Europe.

Willian nasceu em Loanda Paraná, Brasil. Ainda enquanto criança emigrou com a sua família para Portugal, onde posteriormente viria a estudar Ciências e Tecnologias durante os seus anos de secundário. Mas para além do seu interesse pelas ciências sempre demonstrou o seu fascínio pelas artes, decidindo assim prosseguir no ensino superior para a descoberta deste outro mundo.
Agora, no 3°ano de Artes Plásticas na ESAD Caldas da Rainha, Willian em seus projetos traz sempre uma certa bagagem do seu histórico académico e tenta o conjugue destas duas áreas talvez não tão distintas.

On behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research the OeAD organises the national programmes for arts and cultural education with schools in Austria (each year 3.500 schools projects in cooperation with artists and cultural organisations). She studied theatre sciences and cultural management and was coordinator of the European project “Artworks – Artistic services in the third sector” and of the office “Cultural Management in Europe”.

She is an ethnologist and cultural anthropologist and gives training courses and workshops in theatre improvisation, public speaking, educational leadership, etc. to diverse groups of kids, young people and educators. She is a leader of Lilttle impro school – impro programme for primary schools in Slovenia and has been artistic pedagogue in several international cooperation projects funded by European commission. She continues to perform as an improviser with the female impro collective Improške.

She holds a Master's degree in Political Science and a specialist Master's degree in university and higher education pedagogy, and she taught before becoming the first female president of the Youth Council and pedagogical adviser to Jeunesses Musicales. From 2011, she was Cultural Inspector for the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, where she co-chaired the European Commission's group of experts on the transition from school to work, before becoming, in 2019, Head of the Cultural and Artistic Education Pathway (PECA) for the Wallonia-Brussels Federation and Director of the PECA Department. The aim of this department is to make cultural and artistic experiences accessible to 850,000 pupils (aged 3 to 18) in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. She represented the FWB at the Porto Santo Charter meetings and vice-chaired in 2023 the UNESCO consultations (Europe I and Europe II) in preparation for the ECA Global Framework.
She has contributed to various scientific works, including "L'école à travers le cinéma" and "L'école à travers l'art et la culture (pop)".

A former chairman of the Kraków Forum, an NGO association of cultural animators in Poland. She still believes it’s possible to get a lot more done.
