As from December 2019, Adrienn Kir\u00e1ly is the Head of Cabinet to Commissioner Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Education, Culture and Youth.She started her career in Brussels in the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Justice, Freedom and Security dealing with international relations and coordinated visa liberalisation dialogues with the Western Balkan countries. In 2010 Adrienn joined Directorate-General for Home Affairs where she continued her work as coordinator for the Western Balkans. From September 2011 to March 2014 Adrienn was an inter-institutional coordinator at Directorate-General for Justice. In April 2014 she joined the Cabinet of the Vice-President of the European Commission, Ms Viviane Reding, Commissioner for Justice, Fundamental Rights and Citizenship. From July 2014 to October 2014 she was a Member of the Cabinet of Commissioner Martine Reicherts, Commissioner for Justice, Fundamental Rights and Citizenship. From November 2014 November 2019, Adrienn was the Head of Cabinet of Tibor Navracsics, European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport. Chantal Mouffe is an Emeritus Professor of Political Theory at the Centre for the Study of Democracy at the University of Westminster in London, whose view on politics and society inspires other thinkers but also resonates with new political movements, of which she is a prominent analyst.Her writings have been innovatory with respect to democratic theory, Marxism and feminism. Her work derives from, and has always been engaged with, contemporary political events and intellectual debates. This sense of conflict informs both the methodological and substantive propositions she offers. As Minister of Culture, he created a Department of First Peoples, a Migrants Unit and strengthened copyright laws and heritage protections. During this time, he also chaired the Regional Centre for the Promotion of Books in Latin America and the Caribbean (2016 \u2013 2017).From 2011 to 2015, Mr Ottone Ram\u00edrez served as Director-General of the Artistic and Cultural Extension Center of the University of Chile, which manages the National Symphony Orchestra of Chile, the Chilean National Ballet (BANCH), the Chile Symphony Choir and the Vocal Camerata. Gra\u00e7a Fonseca is the current Portuguese Minister for Culture, a role she has occupied since 2018. In 2005, she took on the role of head of cabinet to the Minister for State, Internal Administration, and Justice until 2008, and served as co-Director of Legislative Politics and Planning at the Ministry of Justice (2000-2001). Jacques Ranci\u00e8re<\/span>
Jacques Ranci\u00e8re is an Algerian-born French philosopher who made some of the most relevant contributions to political philosophy, the philosophy of education, and aesthetics of the late 20th and early 21st centuries.He is Professor of Philosophy at European Graduate School in Saas-Fee, Professor emeritus at the Universit\u00e9 de Paris, VIII.He co-authored the seminal work “Reading Capital<\/em>” with the structuralist Marxist philosopher Louis Althusser and others in 1965, but later his work turned against Althusserian Marxism, as he came to develop an original body of work focused on aesthetics. Over the last fifteen years, his work has slowly been translated into English, and yet, while some of his writings remain untranslated into this global language, he has nonetheless already cast a long shadow over the fields of politics, aesthetics, and education, well beyond the borders of France, in particular, and across the Anglo-American world. It is somewhat difficult to categorize much of Ranci\u00e8re\u2019s work, especially his archival texts, but the overarching focus has certainly always been politics. For Professor Ranci\u00e9re, \u201ctrue\u201d <\/em>education must be emancipatory, an objective that demands equality not as an end but as a point of departure. Mar\u00eda Acaso has been described as one of the current leaders in Spain and Latin America in the field of educational revolution or, as she herself calls it, #rEDUvolution.Her main line of work consists of highlighting the obsolescence of the current education system and the development of contemporary educational practices.She holds a PhD in Art Education and is currently Head of the Education at the Museo Reina Sofia in Madrid, where she develops the main project on art and education called GIRA. Prior to her current appointment, she was Associated Professor at the Fine Art Faculty at the Complutense University of Madrid. In 2010 she founded Pedagog\u00edas Invisibles, a collective involved in a large number of projects, working at the crossroads of contemporary art and education in collaboration with art and educational institutions.She is also a renowned book author. She is a graduate in Music and in History and a post graduate in Cultural Management. For over a decade she worked as cultural journalist, for the press, the radio and television.Curator of dance platforms and performing arts festivals at the Gulbenkian Foundation and Teatro Viriato in Viseu; Deputy Director of the Institute of the Arts, Ministry of Culture (2003 \u2013 2005) and Director of the Gulbenkian Programme for Education in Arts and Science (2012 \u2013 2017). Maria Lind is a curator, writer and educator based in Stockholm, currently the director of Tensta konsthall. From 2002-2004 she was the director of Kunstverein and in 1998, co-curator of Manifesta 2. She has taught widely since the early 1990s. Currently she is professor of artistic research at the Art Academy in Oslo. She has contributed widely to newspapers, magazines, catalogues and other publications. She is the 2009 recipient of the Walter Hopps Award for Curatorial Achievement. Tiago Brand\u00e3o Rodrigues is the current Portuguese Minister of Education, a role he has occupied since 2015. Graduate in Biochemistry in Faculdade de Ci\u00eancias e Tecnologia of Universidade de Coimbra in 2000, he was researcher in Dallas University and in Biomedics Investigation Institute, in Madrid. He has a PhD in Biochemistry from Universidade de Coimbra, and his thesis won Ant\u00f3nio Xavier Prize, in 2008.From 2010, he was researcher in Cancer Research UK, of Cambridge University, being also associated to Corpus Christi College. His researche was sponsored by European Commission, through the Marie Curie Program and the European Molecular Biology Organization.He is member of several international scientific societies and author of many articles published in specialized magazines, such as Nature Medicine, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and Cancer Research. With his article about one pioneer technique to evaluate the effectiveness of cancer treatments published in Nature Medicine magazine, he won the British Prize of International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, in 2013.He was guest speaker in many international conferences and lecturer in several pre and post-graduation formations. He is member of the editorial board of scientific magazines and reviewer of articles, as well as evaluator of reputed international scientific funding agencies. He was member of the direction of Portuguese Association of Researchers and Students in the UK, where he developed work in communication of science. She led the activities connected to the evidence base of the Digital Education Action Plan 2021-2027 and its Staff Working Document. Previously, she worked as Senior Manager for Education Development at Junior Achievement Europe and, before moving to Brussels, as a consultant and researcher for several public and private organizations in Italy. Wayne Modest<\/span>
Wayne Modest is the Director of Content for the National Museum of World Cultures and the Wereldmuseum, Rotterdam and head of the Research Center of Material Culture. He is also professor of Material Culture and Critical Heritage Studies (by special appointment) in the faculty of humanities at the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam. Modest was previously, head of the curatorial department at the Tropenmuseum, Amsterdam; Keeper of Anthropology at the Horniman Museum in London, and Director of the Museums of History and Ethnography in Kingston, Jamaica.He has held visiting scholar positions at the Yale Centre for British Art, Yale University and the School for Museums Studies, New York University. Wayne Modest\u2019s work is driven by a concern for more historically contingent ways of understanding the present, especially in relation to material culture\/museum collections. His research interests include issues of belonging and displacement; material mobilities; histories of (ethnographic) collecting and exhibitionary practices; difficult\/contested heritage (with a special focus on slavery, colonialism and post-colonialism); Caribbean Thought. Anna Steiner is a Senior Officer in the Austrian Federal Ministry for Arts and Culture, the Civil Service and Sport, Arts and Culture Division.After studies at the University in Vienna and the ANU in Canberra, Australia, Anna Steiner received a PhD on intercultural studies. She has worked for the Austrian Government since 1991, being in charge of international affairs in the fields of education and culture. In her current appointment she focuses on multilateral cooperation in culture, in particular UNESCO and the Council of Europe. Among her thematic priorities are cultural heritage, cultural diversity and sustainable development. In 2018 Anna Steiner was the Austrian Coordinator of the European Year of Cultural Heritage.\u25ba workgroups<\/span><\/strong><\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Burak Sayin is currently serving as the Community Manager of Trans Europe Halles (TEH) based in Lund, Sweden. He has worked for Associated Press Television News, Huffington Post, Al Jazeera America and many other international media outlets in Turkey before migrating to Sweden. Currently, he manages a 3-year H2020 project, Developing Inclusive and Sustainable Creative Economies, for TEH and holds a seat in the board of Culture Action Europe. Catherine Stilmant<\/span>
Teaching for more than 15 years, holder of a Masters\u2019 degree in Political Science and Higher Education Pedagogy, Catherine Stilmant specialized in the links between Culture and Education in F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Wallonie-Bruxelles. First woman to chair the Youth Council in French-speaking Belgium, she was, for 10 years, a Culture Senior Advisor and Auditor – referent for Youth policies – and chaired a group of European experts on the transition of young people between school and employment. She is currently head of the PECA (Path of Education through Culture and Arts) project launched in French-speaking kindergartens in Belgium in 2020.\u25ba workgroups<\/span><\/strong><\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Cristina Da Milano holds a degree in Archaeology (University of Rome); the MA in Museum Studies (University of Leicester); the MA in Technological Systems for the Economic Evaluation of Cultural Heritage (University of Ferrara).President of ECCOM, an organisation founded in 1995 which carries out research projects on the issue of the social role of culture, training activities and consultancy at a national and international level, she has been involved in several EU funded projects and studies with specific reference to cultural access, participation and audience development. She is an expert in European cultural policy and programmes.She lectures in many post-graduate courses and Masters and is member of the board and vice-president of Culture Action Europe; member of the board of directors of Teatro di Roma; member of the Commission for the National Museum System of the Italian Ministry for Culture.\u25ba workgroups<\/span><\/strong><\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Dea Vidovi\u0107 is a Director of Kultura Nova Foundation, public foundation dedicated to civil society organizations in contemporary arts and culture in Croatia. She graduated in Comparative Literature and Indian Studies and earned a PhD in 2012 from the University of Zagreb\u2019s Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. For more of twenty years of her professional engagement in culture & cultural policy, civil society and philanthropy, she works as a manager, editor, journalist and researcher. She is currently an ENCATC Board member, Co-Chair of Arts & Culture Thematic Network of EFC \u2013 European Foundation Centre as well as Advisory Board member of OpenHeritage project.\u25ba workgroups<\/span><\/strong><\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
